Dan Corso, PT, DPT - Owner:
Dan is the co-owner of Preferred Physical Therapy. He and his partner, Marc Nagle, founded their practice on February 1, 1993. Dan graduated from Ithaca College in upstate New York in 1981. His physical therapy background and his training is primarily in Orthopedics, but he enjoys the full spectrum of physical therapy patients. Dan's clinical training was in the New York City area primarily with trauma patients. He is a Personal Trainer certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dan earned his clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chatham University in 2009.
Dan grew up in Slippery Rock, PA, but he now lives in the Butler area. Dan and his wife, Shirley have two grown children, Amy and Andrea.
Marc Nagle, PT, DPT - Owner:
Marc is the co-owner of Preferred Physical Therapy. He and his partner, Dan Corso founded their practice on February 1, 1993. Marc graduated from Slippery Rock State College in 1978 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology, and then from the Physical Therapy Program at the Mayo-Clinic in 1981. His professional training is primarily in Orthopedics, but he enjoys treating all types of physical therapy patients. Marc earned his clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chatham University in 2009.
Marc grew up in Hughesville, Pennsylvania, but now makes his home in the Butler area. Marc and his wife, Gerriann, have two children, Dana and Grant.
Chris Lazaroff, MPT - Part Time Staff Therapist:
Chris joined our staff in 2002 and works primarily as our evening therapist. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Natural Sciences from Indiana University of PA, and his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Duquesne University in 1993. Chris enjoys treating a wide variety of physical therapy patients. He specializes in Sports Medicine and is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Chris grew up in Ford City. He now lives in the Kittanning area with his wife, LeeAnn and their three children Kol, Kyle, and Kayly.
Erik Koch, PTA - Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant:
Erik joined our staff in 2005. He earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science (Physical Therapy Assistant Program) from Butler County Community College in 1998. Erik has expertise in handling a wide variety of physical therapy patients.
Erik grew up in Ford City, PA, and still resides there with his wife, Chasidy, and their two children Kendall and Riley.
Joe Yeager, PT, DPT, ATC - Full Time Staff Therapist:
Joe began working full time at Preferred Physical Therapy in August 2006. He has a degree in Athletic Training from Penn State Univeristy and a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University. Joe's area of expertise is sports medicine, but he enjoys treating all types of orthopedic patients.
He is originally from the Altoona Area and currently resides in the Butler area with his wife Jen. In his free time Joe enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and hiking.
Melissa Giebel, PTA - Part Time Physical Therapy Assistant:
Melissa earned her Bachelors degree in Biology from Thiel College, Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Pennsylvania State University - Shenango campus, and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education, Math and Science from Slippery Rock University
Melissa grew up in Mars, PA and now lives in Gibsonia. She teaches Anatomy and Physiology at Butler High School. Melissa and her husband Eddie have a daughter, Sophia.
Scott Boden, PT, DPT, ATC - Staff Therapist:
Scott began working at Preferred Physical Therapy in July 2007. He graduated in 1997 from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Movement Science and Athletic Training and in 1999 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. Scott earned his clinical doctorate in physical therapy from Chatham University in 2009. Scott enjoys treating a variety of patients from athletes to post-surgical and spinal pain.
Scott grew up in Emporium, PA. He now lives in Butler with his wife Angie and two daughters, Gabrielle, Carson, and son Chase.
Carol Nadler, PT - Part Time Physical Therapist:
Carol joined our staff in 2007 and works part time with a specialty in pelvic muscle disorders for women and men, including incontinence, and pain problems. Carol earned her degree in physical therapy from the University of Michigan in 1969 and she has her own private practice in general orthopedics and women's/men's health in Kittanning (www.nadlerpt.com).
Joe Mancino, PT, OCS - Part Time Physical Therapist:
Joe joined our staff in 2012. He earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh and is board-certified by the American Physical Therapy Association as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
Joe grew up in Butler and now resides in Cranberry Township with his wife, Juliet, and their two children, Emily and Matthew.
